Grover's First Outfit

So exams are finally over and now I can concentrate on what really matters--napping with my feet up and not vomiting. Uncle Andy, Aunt Karen, Courtney and Alex sent us a congrats gift of Grover's very first outfit. It was so precious I sobbed--or that might have been the hormones. Either way, it is darling and when Mama Peggy gave us a "practice Grover" as a Chanukah gift we couldn't resist dressing him up!
Noah and I are off to Atlanta tomorrow to spend Christmas and birthday week (it is mine, Jay's, Kelly's, and I hear Karen's too) at my brother's house and we can't wait to see all of our friends and family living over in that neck of the woods! Happy Holidays to everyone and I can't wait to put up pictures of our next ultrasound on January 5th.

Snoopy

We had our first doctor's visit today and got to see our little "Grover" for the first time on the ultrasound. It was so cool to see the heart beating away like it was, and the doctor confirmed that I was 8 weeks in and due July 17th. Noah thinks one of the pictures she took looks like Snoopy, while Doug thinks the other looks like a rubber duck. But whether its a duckling or a dog, everything looks good and I go back for my next appointment on Janurary 5th. Now, back to exams...

Double pink lines

So we saw the first double pink lines on the test on Monday, November 3rd and they were so faint that I wasn't sure it was a positive. When I took a test the next morning and both lines were quite solid, we were sure we had a positive. And although the news came as quite a surprise, we get more excited about the idea of our little one every day. We have since been asking family and friends all throughout the area for recomendations on an ob-gyn to help us through the process. After receiving a lot of helpful recomendations, we have decided to use Wilkerson Ob-Gyn in Raleigh. My first appointment is on December 4th (the day after my Civil Procedure exam--yikes!). We're so excited to learn all about the nine months (or less now) ahead of us!
